WELCOME TO COSM'innov 2010

The second edition of the international conference on cosmetology research will be held in Orléans on 30-31 March 2010.
In an economic context in which companies, academic research and government agencies are aware of the need to innovate, this conference will bring together 30 internationally famed speakers addressing various cosmetology research topics: chemistry, physics, biology, dermatology, formulation.
The second edition of COSM’innov spotlights the most recent progress on these scientific disciplines COSM’innov 2010 will be a place where industry and academic research come together to create tomorrow’s cosmetics.

COSM’Innov 2010, making it happen:
Just saying that COSM’Innov is a scientific conference on cosmetology research hardly does it justice!
Convinced that the creation of breakthrough innovations requires a blending of scientific disciplines and the coming together of men with diverse backgrounds, the organizers have set objectives high enough to meet today’s challenges:

• Introducing recent advances in the main areas of cosmetology research
• Bringing together international experts working on the most varied research subjects
• Promoting a connection between these subjects and cosmetology research
• Creating links between top-notch academic research and industry
• Giving actors in the cosmetics industry development perspectives based on knowledge or know-how from different worlds …

COSM’Innov 2010, where it all happens

A strongly scientific programme
COSM’Innov will be an opportunity to listen to internationally known researchers present their most recent results in the key areas of cosmetology research: the use of new natural vegetable and marine substances, green chemistry, new methods of extraction and purification, aromatherapy, mico-emulsions, physical-biological interfaces, the use of reconstructed skin.
But that’s not all: other research topics of interest to the cosmetics industry will also be tackled: powder compression technologies, biotechnologies, hormesis, extraction and purification processes in the food industry, applied information technology, medical imaging…

Conference-goers expected from around the world
For two days, COSM’Innov 2010 will bring together:
•  All the industrial players in the cosmetics industry (R&D, regulations, marketing, communications)
•  Academic researchers working on scientific topics leading directly or indirectly to cosmetic applications
•  Manufacturers in other industries (agri-food, textiles, pharmaceuticals) whose activities may inspire (or be inspired by) research in cosmetology

COSM’Innov is being held as part of the events of Cosmetic Valley, the world’s leading resource centre in perfumery and cosmetics, at the initiative of the Agence de Développement Economique du Loiret (ADEL) and of Orléans Val de Loire Technopole.
The Société Française de Cosmétologie (SFC) is an official partner of the conference and is contributing its full support to putting in place a top-notch scientific programme.
